I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at HARTING Technology Group (Elgin, IL) in Sept 2021
Interview
Overcomplicated interview process. In the lack of a higher-ranking hiring manager (position open at that time), some department managers teamed up and declared themselves the interview board. Two out of the four members were exceptionally knowledgeable and on the spot; the other two couldn't care less and were visibly bored (yawning, texting during the interview, not paying attention, asking the same things several times). At the end of the almost 4-hour interview process, I asked not to be considered for the role anymore. I don't know if I dodged a bullet, but I no longer felt comfortable working for HARTING Elgin.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
The questions asked by HR were straight to the subject, and very thorough, true 5/5.
PC was mostly absent or was just put on the committee to fill the numbers. No common subject, no willingness from the person's side to have a normal conversation. 2/5
The questions from the CCL made no sense at all to me. Half of the time I didn't even know what the person is talking about. When asked for clarification, the person repeated the same things in the same manner as before and looked annoyed. 1/5
