      Enrollment Advisor Interview

      11 May 2018
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Denver, CO
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Guild (Denver, CO) in Apr 2018

      Interview

The interview process was very long. I had to partake in a series of tasks which included 2 interviews, a written task, a mock phone call, a side by side phone listening session with a current employee, and finally listening to a presentation from one of the head people of the company. 3 hours in total. However, from the time I applied to the time I was invited to do an interview was rather quick, about a week. Very quickly I noticed a lack of diversity in the workplace, mainly white employees which was not surprising based on the reviews I read previously. I currently work in the same position but with another company and the interview went amazing, however I was not offered the position and the reason that they gave me was just a cover up for their reasoning of obviously wanting to keep a mostly white environment. Not a good experience at all.

      Interview

It took a really long time to schedule the interview. They asked me questions about organizational / operational skills alongside customer service. The interviewer was sweet but it did feel like she was asking questions off a paper - not natural.

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Guild (Denver, CO) in Jan 2020

      Interview

The interview process consist of talking to a recruiter, a written project which took about 3 hours and an online phone interview. I only made it to the 2nd phone interview section after the project. Talking to the recruiters through email and phone was great. They were super sweet and explain all parts of the process very clearly. Unfortunately I did not pass the 2nd phone interview. I think the reason that I did not do well on the interview was due to me preparing intensely for talking about roles that I had in education in the past since this was an enrollment role, however they ask me questions primarily on my most recent job which had very little to do with education so I felt a little thrown off. I definitely enjoyed talking to the ladies on the emails and the recruiter. They even respond to my followup email asking what I could do better. My only recommendation is that the man on the 2nd phone interview would talk more. I felt like he only there to monitor my interview call which made me feel like I was taking a test. It gave me a lot of anxiety. Interview should feel like a converstation not a test. Overall a very positive experience that really prepared for my current admission advisor role now!
