Their recruiter pitched me hard the benefits of the company upon stating they couldn't meet my salary expectations and arranged a call with the manager in California. I can tell the hiring manager had no interest at all in hiring me. He started the interview by saying that going to college two evenings a week was a problem for their scheduling (!)
The tips that recruiter gave me to prepare the interview were completely off. The topics were completely different. The hiring manager was looking for someone very different than what the recruiter thought. The skillset was very much focussed on process creation and improvement, which is odd for an entry-level role.
The recruiter sold me a tech company but I had the feeling that I was being interviewed to join a bank instead. I wouldn't recommend a friend to join the company.
After preparing the interviews and had a call at night to meet the manager, the recruiter didn't bother on providing any feedback about why they decided not moving forward with my application. Such a lack of respect!
