      Designer Interview

      20 Mar 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

      I interviewed at GuideSpark

      Interview

I had a phone interview that went well with the recruiter and led to a second interview with one of the Sr. Designers. This person was not as well spoken and came off as an unexperienced interviewer. She did not have a strong technical background and lacked knowledge of the software that they mainly use. Regarding the company, I felt some political conflict, disorganization, and unhappiness from her. After the call I received an email to complete a project within 36 hours. I completed and email the project and I have not heard back from them even after a follow up email. It has been a few months since then. All that work and no follow up email what so ever is disappointing.

      Anonymous employee
      Menlo Park, CA
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at GuideSpark (Menlo Park, CA) in Jul 2015

      Interview

Phone interview, then a 4 hour After Effects design test then an in person interview, that turned into an offer. Super quick because they were hiring for busy season. Pretty easy interview, they were looking for someone to basically fill a seat, so it was very easy.

      Designer Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer

      Easy interview

      Application

The process took 2 days. I interviewed at GuideSpark in Jun 2015

      Interview

Did a phone interview with a recruiter who couldn't answer basic questions about the job and made promises she shouldn't have. Gave me a 36 hour test and then never bothered acknowledging it, even after a follow up email. Asking people to spend a day working for them and then not even confirming receipt of the work is arrogant, disrespectful and unprofessional. For a company that supposedly specializes in HR, they sure treat people like crap.
