      C#/Unity Developer Interview

      20 Jun 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Vancouver, BC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Greensky Games (Vancouver, BC) in May 2023

      Interview

Applied online via Indeed some months ago. Didn't hear back. Applied again via their own system. Heard back within a week or two inviting me to an introductory meeting. While waiting for that one, heard back from my initial application, saying it was not a good fit (which was clearly some botched review as it was the exact same resume for the exact same position). Had the introductory interview regardless (they seemed to have no awareness of my previous application), where I thought everything went really well. I have the skills and experience they want. A week later they email me to say they won't be moving forward, and they can't give me feedback due to legal reasons, but I should welcome to apply again (!?). I see today they are still advertising the same positions, unfilled for months now. These people either have no understanding of how to conduct a proper hiring process, how to write job descriptions and how to screen people, or they are up to some monkey business wasting everyone's time.

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Greensky Games (Vancouver, BC) in Aug 2022

      Interview

The process was simple and straightforward. I first had a small interview to hear about the role I would have, the project I would be working on, etc. The next step was a trial I worked at for a week: I would get tasks and complete them during the trial period so they could be evaluated. During this time, I was able to reach a contact and get some guidance, so the experience went smoothly. The last step was another meeting where I would get feedback and discuss further into the role they offered me..
