Grais & Ellsworth interview questions

I was asked to come to New York City right away for my first interview with Grais & Ellsworth (I was currently living more than a few hours away from the city). I made the trip all the way up (no compensation for travel) and only interviewed with two women for about thirty minutes. They told me they would let me know soon. I was asked back for a second interview - a kind of "super day." I came all the way back to New York City (still no compensation) and interviewed for over 2 hours with about 9 different people, in pairs. The people were generally very nice, although they seemed eager to convince me that the job is strenuous and the hours are long. They didn't seem to think I believed them. BUT - all of the people I spoke with seemed to really love their jobs. Overall the process was okay - the people were very friendly and made and effort to make me feel comfortable as a young student not yet finished with my undergraduate degree. I would have appreciated a little bit more consideration of the effort put in to make it up to the city. A lot of money was spent on the two trips - when the first could probably have been done over the phone.
