Applied on campus recruiting website, then got an email from the HR inviting for the interview at NYC. Since I study at Syracuse University, I asked whether they re-imbursed my travel. They said no they dont, and asked me if that changes my decision. I thought of giving it a try, so told them i'll be there for the interview. The interview was taken by 2 people, one from HR and one the IT head (who was the only employee in the IT dept and wanted an assistant)...the position was thus for someone who would work with this IT head and help him provide IT support like fix office printers and computers when they crash. I do not blame them completely, because it is actually a litigation firm and I should have researched a bit more about the position...however the job title is really deceptive. The IT head said they would occasionally have to work on sharepoint in collaboration with a team located at new jersey...the entire interview took 15 mins and since they do not sponsor H-1B, they never got back to me...
