I applied online. I interviewed at Goldman Sachs (London, England) in Sept 2024
Interview
First stage was a coding exercise with an Engineer. One was an easy question that could be solved with hashMaps, and the second one was similar to Trapping Rain Water on leetcode.
I then had 4 interviews in one day:
- Data Structures; this was a purely theory based interview on different Java data structures; starting with List, Array and then Map and HashMap, LRU Cache.
- System Design; In this interview I was asked about my current project at work and the system design decisions made.
- SDLC interview; various questions on my experiences. Trade-offs between different database options. How to achieve software availability, scalability, etc.
- Interview with the team director; a conversation about my motivations and what I am looking for in my next role.
The most frustrating thing was I got no feedback on the interview despite giving my entire day to them. I reached out to the recruiter and TA person twice for it.

The interview under IR35 and it was easy only two rounds
1)First Round is coderpad coding in which 2 question asked
2) Second round is system design for tiny URL

1hr Technical - LC based Interview. It was an average interview with one LeetCode hard and LeetCode Medium The hard One was Trapping Rain Water and the Medium one was First Unique Character in a string. Asked about TC and SC and how we can optimize that solution if we can.

2) if you know a co worker won't get raise, and he's planning to buy realstate, what would you do when you meet him
