I was one of the candidates here to receive their email, asking me to volunteer for a weekend at their center. They expect people to volunteer and do day care activities for kids irrespective of their degrees. While the kids were cute and most of the team is fine, my issue is with the person who interviewed me, who is in a position of authority there. After my volunteering experience, they tell me that my pass for staying in SG could be a problem (which was not) and more importantly more questions were asked about my spouse, his position and I was asked as to why am I working if my husband is doing fine. This is misogynistic and terrible. The interview didn't focus on what I could bring to the table. On top of that, they expected me to volunteer more. This reeks of exploitation of people in the name of volunteering as well as of misogyny and inequality. I refused naturally to be associated with such a place but I was highly disappointed by the entire episode.
