Seem like a good company that seem to pride themselves in diversity. The staff seem to take pride in their company and what their company brings to their Client. Looking around the office, they seem to have some of the Ethnic groups covered which is a good checklist item on D and I. During the interview process and once decisions have been made, the awkwarndess began. I've been down this road before and come to realize and recognize the ugliness in our industry and especially in Tech Companies. Companies are careful and tiptoe around the topic of age. I already know that the ugly head of age categorization appears even in the most well intentioned companies in providing their services to their Customers. Glint is a company that tracks and analyzes Employee engagement and happiness for the purpose of productivity and retention. They do this at all cost and even practices this within their own company to the point where they go above and beyond. This may include or in this case, exclude certain portions of society that are deemed "not a culture fit". I would challenge Glint and other similar companies to be more open and brave in hiring a well rounded and truly diverse team. This include all colors and all ages. I doubt that this will ever come through. Unfortunately, these companies the Glint model again is to make employees engaged and happy which is a good deed but again the pretense is where they exclude certain age categories.
