My first interview was with HR, followed by a case study assignment. It wasn’t a simple skills test but rather a task that reflects the actual responsibilities you'd have if you started working there. For someone unfamiliar with their platform, some parts were quite challenging and required a significant amount of time and research — definitely more than a day’s work.
While I find the platform promising, the job post has been up for more than two months, which makes me wonder. It’s a bit strange that they haven't found a suitable candidate in all that time — especially considering the salary seems to be quite competitive. That, combined with how demanding the case study is, raises some red flags. It makes you think whether they might be using the recruitment process to get free ideas or input from candidates under the guise of hiring. I understand the need to be selective, but this approach could feel unfair to applicants who invest serious time and effort.
