The final round of the interview process is a 30-minute panel exercise, with the hiring manager playing the client role and several other business partners observing. The candidate is provided with scenario information about one week before the panel. The purpose is primarily to assess the candidate's softer skills of engaging with a client, building rapport, reacting to resistance, and demonstrating empathy and flexibility. However, there were definitely some content questions sprinkled throughout, as well. It was a challenging and great dry run for what first time meetings with a client might be like. Also great was getting 20 minutes of feedback from all Gartner participants, immediately after the exercise.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
After brief introductions, the (mock) client wanted to dive deeper into my career history... "Tell me more about your previous experiences." It was presented in a way that candidates could believe the (mock) client was challenging their relevance.
Initial recruiter screening based on resume submittal but better chance with an in-person referral. If you get through the initial screening you will have multiple 1:1 interviews with multiple indiviudals (at least 3). Once you pass this gate, the final interview is in front of a panel where you are in the hot seat, rapid fire Q&A.

I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Gartner
Interview
Whole process was quite exhausting, but clear. It took some time to fulfill. No big surprises at all. I appreciate that process was very transparent from start to finish. Its actually good, that the process is so tight.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gartner in Aug 2024
Interview
The interview process is incredibly long. I think they said it was like 5 interviews plus a case study. They said I was moving on to the next round but then went radio silent on me. I am assuming they aren’t interested since I can’t get them to respond to my emails.
