I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Gap (San Francisco, CA) in Mar 2015
Interview
I was approached by an external recruiter who provided detailed information/ descriptions for the job. She conducted two phone chats/ warm up interviews before connecting me with the hiring manager. The phone interview lasted about an hour. I would say that the whole process was quick and efficient. They were also quick to respond with results.

Question 1
Describe how you work with your counterparts/ direct reports abroad.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 months. I interviewed at Gap (San Francisco, CA) in Jun 2011
Interview
I was invited to apply by the hiring manager, who happened to then get promoted and no longer be the hiring manager. After 2+ months, I was interviewed in a speed dating style (6 people, 30 minutes each). Made it to the 2nd round and had a 1 on 1 with the initial person who wanted me to apply and panel interview with direct reports. Everything seemed like a formality only at this stage. I was told they'd have a decision by end of the week...only to then be called to say, the decision is too tough we want you to do a presentation. Fair enough, I'd have to do this all the time if I got the job. Honestly, though, at this point we were approaching 5 months and I realized if they took this long to make a decision to hire someone, the likelihood of them supporting me with quick decisions going forward was in question. I didn't provide my best presentation and I didn't get an offer.
