I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Gap (New York, NY) in Jul 2013
Interview
Initially, they preformed a group interview. 6-8 people. I was interviewed by the GM of the store, who asked a few typical interview questions. They either go around the table for answers or they let you raise your hand. Half hour interview. The next day the GM called me for a second interview. The second interview was one on one, getting to know me personally. After he was satisfied we started doing the paperwork to hire me.

Question 1
Who is influential to your life, why?
What does GAP mean to you?
Whats a weakness of yours?
good it was very easy and very straight forward. nothing to worry about. be confident. it’s only a retail job after all, it’s not like you’re saving lives. you’re literally folding clothes.
The experience was comfortable and felt like a typical job interview. It was straightforward, with clear questions and a relaxed atmosphere, making it easy to share my qualifications and my skills. Overall it was okay
Positive experience, helpful and driven. All staff were there to support each other. Welcoming and open to answer any questions. Would recommend this company and job to others who may be interested and willing to join.
