The interview was held in the main building and focused mainly on behavioral questions and previous experiences, along with an English assessment and a small mock. Gaba focuses primarily on corporate clients, and the environment is really formal for an English school. I went to my interview in a cream suit, not knowing that this is a no-no in Japanese business culture. Other than that, the interviewer was quite pleasant, and the process was smooth. I would say, though, that for that level of formality, the pay isn’t really that great. There are companies that offer the same flexibility, better pay, and you don’t have to wear a black suit to teach every day.

Not much communication, not a well managed process. They were very clearly looking for a specific archetype of person, and did not really consider those who did not meet this.
