      Sales Development Representative (SDR) Interview

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

      I interviewed at GRIN

      Interview

Uses a random multiple-choice IQ test as a first step to screen applicants. Recruiter said it was best to get it done as quickly as possible, and made it sound incredibly easy to pass. I somehow failed it (also, I'm an honor student, was a paid TA in college, and have a bachelor's degree) and felt like I was taking a shittier version of the ACTs but as a 25 yr. old who hasn't taken a test in years, and was then GHOSTED by the recruiter. Terrible experience overall, especially after having a great phone screen interview. Made the company look bad.

I'm sorry you felt you had a poor interview with GRIN. Our recruiting team takes pride in our communication with candidates and strives to close it out with candidates when the decision was made not to move forward. My apologies if you didn't receive the email. Sometimes it does go to Spam or the Promotions folder It's been 6 months since GRIN interviewed and hired for our BDR role (sometimes referred to as an SDR at other companies), so this experience has stuck with you. At the time, we did use an assessment for all of our roles after the recruiter interview, but we no longer use that assessment.
