I interviewed for a Sr. FE position at Float.
The interview process was easy and very transparent.
Step 1:
15 mins call with recruiter
Step 2:
1 hour call with Hiring Manager where they discussed my experience, past projects etc
Step 3:
Technical Coding interview with a staff engineer
They gave me a very generic, control flow coding question. It was re-factoring a function to make it more scalable, and readable. Also added additional feature on top of it.
No prior practice is needed. If you code everyday and keep your calm and talk out your approach with interviewer, it is easy and evaluates your design/re-factoring skills
Step 4: Interview with team member and Engineering Manager
Both interviews focus on your skill set, past experience. They told me about the team, the project, the company and see if this is something I'd be excited to do.
Step 5: 30 mins Call with CTO
Another talking round. This is your chance to learn more about the company goals, projections, roadmap etc
Step 6 -> OFFER :-)
All in all the experience was very smooth and exciting. I really loved meeting with everyone and felt really valued. The company's growth projections seems promising. If you'd like to make impact and excited about seeing an unparalleled growth, Float is for you!
