I applied through other source. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Flipdish (Dublin, Dublin) in Aug 2022
Interview
Solved the puzzles (thanks Sherlock) and was invited to refactor some really awful code, really over the top bad stuff that you're unlikely to see in 2022. I kept it simple and employed yagni, sent a PR and was quickly rejected out of hand as I didn't use this weeks faddy design patterns! Following one of Flipdish's own career beliefs statements, "I wisely separated what must be done well today, from what can be improved down the line". My advice, if you love showing off and playing with new toys, you'll love it. If you want to solve problems and get the important bits done, maybe look elsewhere. That said, I did enjoy the puzzle and I was really looking forward to meeting the team.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Flipdish (Madrid) in Jun 2022
