I applied through university. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Flipboard (New York, NY) in Jan 2019
Interview
Received an email from a recruiter, I think they found me through a School Recruitment Email Service, not too sure. They asked me to complete an OA question and the question was too hard for me at the time so I passed.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Flipboard (Seattle, WA) in Nov 2015
Interview
My interviewing experience at Flipboard was great. Pretty standard process of chat with recruiter, a coding challenge, phone screen with one of the engineers to discuss the coding challenge solution and sync up on prior experience and the role, and then a half a day of final remote interviews with managers/engineers at Flipboard. The interviewers and the recruiter were very friendly and transparent about the work/culture/etc at Flipboard. It took a while to get their final feedback, but I believe that is mostly because of holidays (Nov-Dec). At the end, the recruiter was very reasonable in their negotiations. Overall, a very good experience with mindful set of folks.

Interview
The interview process was pretty straight forward. There was a fairly easy coding challenge that you had to do and then discuss with an engineer after you completed. Then you would interview/talk with managers of different teams until you found a match after which you would get/not get an offer. Throughout the process a recruiter would be orchestrating everything and would always be available in case you needed anything.
