I applied online. I interviewed at First Actuarial (Manchester, England) in Dec 2022
Interview
Had to prepare and give a presentation on a mathematical topic of my own choice, which was followed by a couple of questions about the presentation. The rest was about some common things actuaries do and the types of pensions, followed by behavioural questions.

Question 1
Describe the different types of pensions and their differences.
Interview process felt very mechanical and interviewers did not feel engaged in the conversation. Worst part for me was that I reached assessment centre and when I got rejected, it was through an automated email. When I emailed my interviewer for feedback I never got a response. When passing 4 stages for a role, the least I expect is a few comments on how I performed in these stages so that I can improve. I think this shows a lot for the company culture limiting support for its employees.

Do a presentation on a topic in pensions.
First had an online interview call with 2 investment consultants, then got invited to interview in person. Interview consisted of a 10 min presentation, then questions. Then had an hour interview, followed by an hour of tests.
