I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Fin Exploration (San Francisco, CA) in Jan 2017
Interview
Fairly standard process. I applied online and heard back within a few days to schedule a phone screening. After that I had to perform 3 "fin tasks" and within a few days of that, I had an interview set up. 4 people in 2 hours and got a couple of repeat questions, nothing too crazy. Mostly just talking about experience, customer service skills, working as a team, etc. My advice is to be very knowledgeable and reflective on your experience in a dynamic, slightly ambiguous but customer focused environment.
I got the vibe that my interviewers were satisfied with my skill set and could tell that I was qualified for the job. However, I felt more push back and uneasiness in my final interview with the manager when I mentioned that I was looking to develop a career and was "looking for a place that will allow me to grow" and that I didn't want to be stuck in the same position for years doing the same thing. The manager shifted a bit after that so although this is a startup, don't be too eager about expressing your interest to grow within the company.

Interview
Applied online at their website and then did some online tests & practice tasks before some phone interviews, video conferences, and then in-person. Doing research about the company would help, although likely unecessary.
