I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Faculty.ai in Sept 2022
Interview
I applied for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer job and ended up interviewing for a Software Research position. To be noticed that in the introductory interviewed I told I am not a software engineer. The interview process took ages: introductory interview, algorithms development test to be solved at home (no time limit - this was quite interesting and fun to do), pair programming test (after several weeks because people were busy or on holiday), and eventually theory interview.

Question 1
I reached the pair programming test without knowing what that was about and how to prepare (nobody was able to give a proper explanation of the process). In the end two software engineers presented me some code with errors/not performing parts and I was supposed to tell them my thoughts. It was ok, but it did not test at all what I could do or learn. It was more about 'this is how we do; this is what we know. If you do not do this way, and you do not know these things, you are not worth this job'. Well, happy I did not get the job in the end. Definitely not a place where you can think of learning something.
