I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at FTI Consulting (Los Angeles, CA) in Sept 2012
Interview
four interviews were required. the first was with a managing director in the local office. felt disastrous but a second interview with a senior managing director in the same office followed which went much better: may have been a personality issue. Third interview was with a senior managing director from another office and fourth was a phone interview with the lead of the practice.
Typcially 4-5 rounds of interviews - early interview with recruiter, then with a few peers/team members, written exercise then 1-2 informal conversations with partner-level team leads for the final rounds.
fully ghosted, never responded to any emails after. interview was very standard though, no surprises. why you wanna work here, what is your research experience, whats your goals, how do you deal with conflict
Four stages, great people to interact with and passionate about the work they do. First stage is a screening call with a recruiter, second stage is a call with one of the team to talk about your experiences, third stage is a further discussion about experiences focused on technical and fourth stage is meeting the partners (SMDs)
