I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FTI Consulting (Boston, MA) in Feb 2017
Interview
I applied through my school career website. They got back to me fairly quickly afterwards asking for an in-person interview. I was not in town so we scheduled a Skype interview, which took place about a week after initial contact.
The interview was pretty standard. I spoke to two FTI consultants and they told me about the company and what the internship would entail. Afterwards, they asked me a few question about what I do and why I'm interested in the position.
Internship Interview very cut for time, with hardly 2 minutes to answer each question. They do let you re-shoot your answer and have a minute prep time. The questions seem reused, including the typical why this career / role.
I applied online. I interviewed at FTI Consulting (London, England) in Nov 2025
Interview
It was online, challenging at times with a few questions such as 'What headline would you write about yourself for a press release' . there was not much time between answer and moving on to the next question.
