I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FOURNARAKIS (Athens, Athens, Attica) in Jan 2024
Interview
Long interviews that take more than 3 hours each time (!!!!!)
First interview was over the phone with the HR, Second interview was with the HR at their premises. Third interview was with the Manager. All of the interviews lasted more than 3 hours ..... the departments did not communicate effectively their feedback, as a result they kept on asking the same questions. They requested to work 9 hours or more and there is no hybrid work module. They offered a much lower salary than the one I currently have, even though HR had communicated to me that the amount I had initially requested was ok to proceed. I lost 3 days for nothing. Not professional at all.
Met with HR on premises. Initially they described a pretty picture of the company and the finance division but later on they gave away problematic stories about how the finance division functions, something very concerning to someone interviewing with them.
At one point, HR told me that they cannot really recommend the position to someone already employed elsewhere, only to have them quit their job to join Fournarakis and become jobless a few months later (!).
The second stage was meeting the hiring manager; she seemed uninterested in my experience and only cared about my age.
Overall, questions were about personal data, and there were some case studies about how would you manage the very poorly disciplined staff and if you are OK with working 10 hours on a daily basis and doing a demo (I guess unpaid) day were you are essentially being judged about being a good fit for the others.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at FOURNARAKIS (Asprópirgos, Attica) in Nov 2023
Interview
1) Application Submission
2) Initial Screening: This involved a brief phone call and email exchange with a recruiter to discuss your background, qualifications, and interest in the position. This step helped to ensure that I meet the basic requirements for the role and to gauge my initial fit for the company culture.
3)First-round Interview: This conducted in person with hiring manager. The purpose was to delve deeper into my background, skills, experience, and motivations for applying. I was asked behavioral or situational questions to assess my fit for the role and the company.
4) Demo Day: During Demo Day, candidates are typically asked to showcase their skills and expertise through a presentation, demonstration, or project they've been working on. This could involve presenting a prototype, coding project, product pitch, or any other relevant work. Demo Day provides candidates with an opportunity to showcase their abilities in a real-world context and allows the hiring team to assess their creativity, problem-solving skills, and ability to communicate and present effectively.
