I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ensoma
Interview
This was a tough interview process. I went through a phone screen, a first-round 1:1, and a panel interview. However, the recruiter didn’t inform me in advance that the panel interview would last over four hours, which I had to schedule on relatively short notice, requiring me to take most of the day off for a junior-level role.
Perhaps this was due to my lack of prior experience in life sciences, but for an Operations role, the process felt excessive. Ultimately, I was told they decided to pursue candidates who better matched their requirements. While I appreciate the timely communication, be prepared for an intense interview process and the possibility of being cut at any stage.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ensoma (Boston, MA) in Oct 2024
Interview
I was referred by an employee at Ensoma and subsequently received an email about an interview with the recruiter. After our conversation, I received feedback a few days later indicating that I was not considered a good fit. However, I later learned that the position was filled internally.

Question 1
When can you start?
What is your salary expectation?
Do you have hands-on experience of DNA library construction?
Are you willing to relocate to Boston?
One phone screen and 1:1s with 4 people on the team, overall pretty causal and team members were easy to talk to. Just make sure you know a bit about the company.
