I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Elucidat
Interview
3 stages - initial screening call, online interview with potential line manager, in person meeting with potential line manager and C-Suite.
Interviewers we friendly and seem interested in both me and my employment history. They said that they were having very limited in-person interviews as they had set requirements high and not progressed many people through the stages.
Interview went well and everything seemed positive. I was told in follow up call from Ops Manager that they were very pleased and wanted to offer the role but finance had started a re-forecasting and hiring was on hold. Was told I would receive an update either way in 4 weeks and a phone call was booked for that follow up.
They emailed three weeks later to say that the reforecasting had been completed and they were unable to offer the position.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elucidat (Brighton, England) in Jun 2025
Interview
I was genuinely excited about the opportunity at Elucidat. On the surface, the company seemed like a great place to work — purpose-driven, people-first, and with a strong product. Unfortunately, the interview experience told a different story.
While the early stages were positive, the process became increasingly disjointed. The expectations shifted multiple times — for example, the advertised hybrid role (2 days in-office) suddenly became 5 days without clear explanation. There were also several last-minute additions to the process, including reference demands that went above and beyond what’s typical — such as requesting multiple 40-minute video calls with former managers, despite only issuing an offer letter and not a formal contract.
The final conversation with the CEO was particularly disappointing. I found the tone unnecessarily blunt and dismissive, which didn’t reflect the values the company promotes.
It’s a shame — I really wanted this to be the right fit, but in the end, the experience raised too many red flags around communication, internal alignment, and candidate respect.

What’s your experience multi threading? The challenges the learning and development sector face?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Elucidat in Aug 2024
Interview
The process was very efficient. I had a 15-minute screening with the hiring manager. After this, I was invited to interview in the Elucidat office in central Brighton. The interview lasted 1.5 hours and included a formal interview, a task and a chance to meet the team. I was informed of these details before attending the interview so I felt I had a chance to prepare.
