I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Elsevier (Boston, MA) in Dec 2022
Interview
I had an interview with a recruiter over the phone and an interview with an executive via Teams. I thought I was interviewing with the hiring manager but during the interview I learned that they were in the process of hiring the hiring manager. The person interviewing seemed like she was distracted and going through the motions but not very interested. I followed up with a thank you email. The recruiter told me they would send my email to the interviewer. I was surprised that after the interview there was no follow up at all from the recruiter - not even a generic email. When I checked on the status online a month later it still showed the application was in process but I never heard back from anyone. It seems like applicants who get to the stage where they are interviewing with an executive on the team should at least receive a follow up email informing the applicant that the role was filled.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Elsevier
Interview
Several rounds with different members of the hiring team. Disorganized with the hiring process. I was more proactive in making sure I had the right times to give an interview. Similar questions asked by all team members; but they were making sure that I was the right candidate. Somewhat inflexible with the date I was available to give an interview; they were in a hurry to hire a candidate!
Interview questions [1]

Typical q's like what can you offer; why are you fit for this role; can you manage authors effectively etc.
I applied through other source. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Elsevier (New York, NY) in Oct 2014
Interview
Since I was being hired for a remote position, the entire interview process was via telephone. There were 3 discussions, one with the hiring manager, one with an executive and one with HR.
