I applied online. I interviewed at Elsevier (Amsterdam) in Jun 2026
Interview
Got contacted by HR after application. It was weird she was calling on my phone without even setting up an interview time.
After that she emailed me. I responded asking for a bit more details about the role and compensation as it was waaay below market average. After that I stayed of responding my email. She declined me directly through the application platform. Lame.

I applied online. I interviewed at Elsevier (Tokyo) in Apr 2026
Interview
I applied through Linkedin. First, I had a call with a recruiting HR to learn about the job and see if Im a good fit. He advised me to apply to another role which matches my background more.
One week later, I had a first interview with the director. It lasted 45 mins. He explained about the role, asked about my background, and how I can contribute to 3 pillars of this role. He also asked me how to explain technical topics to non-tech clients.
Then I got an assignment and had 1 week to prepare. The assignment is to present my preparation for a meeting with clients. I had to draft a solution for the client and in the second interview, I got 30 mins to explain about my findings and the details of my solution. There is a template provided by HR for the presentation, so it was not very challenging. The interviewers include the director and sales managers.
2 weeks later, I received a congrats email, but it took a while for the letter offer to come. So in total I waited around 4 weeks to get the offer letter after the final interview.
