I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ecologi (London, England) in May 2025
Interview
I had a lovely recruitment process with Ecologi. The interviews took place in 3 rounds plus one HR screening. The first round consisted of general carbon accounting knowledge Qs and more information about the role and company with the hiring manager. The second round included a short task answering carbon accounting situational Qs + a presentation to the hiring manager and another senior director. The final round was values based (STAR method).
Throughout the entire process I knew where I stood thanks to the recruiter. I was given feedback and updated on timelines.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ecologi in Jun 2025
Interview
Recruiter was rude and unprofessional. First question I was asked was "are you actively looking" rather than anything to do with the role or my competencies. When I asked about certain collaborations the company has with a data provider in this space, the recruiter was clueless despite bragging how they had worked in/with Ecologi for a year. Conversation felt extremely copy and paste and it was clear this was not a conversation but rather, the interviewer was rattling off a list of prepared questions despite me explicitly asking for clarifications as some did not apply to me.
Wanted to retract my application after the interview, but they won't even let you email them as they route their emails via a no reply server. I reiterate; rude and unprofessional. Dodged a bullet from what little I've seen.

Question 1
What is your current situation? (Are you actively or passively looking for roles)
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Ecologi (Hurley, West Midlands, England) in Oct 2022
Interview
Interview process was super straightforward and efficient. Loved that I had to do a presentation. I think it is the right set of skills one needs to see and I loved that the subject was open to interpretation which made it both easier and harder! Thought it was really clever. The feedback was staggered over a few days which was slightly frustrating as it sounded like I may have got the job but then took 4 days to confirm. Maybe in future not giving too much on the first feedback in terms of letting the candidate think they got it without the relevant docs to back it up. Other than that the onboarding team was amazing.
