I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at EF (Education First) (Bengaluru) in Jul 2013
Interview
There were 3 rounds of interviews-
1. Cultural Round: Here the interviewer paid much stress on the behavioural skills and all sorts of questions were asked like how would you cope in a particular kind of situation, what technical approaches would you take to resolve a particular task, how would you gel up with a new colleague etc. As EF provides a very diversified work environment so they take much interest in getting a candidate who can adjust to their fast paced and diversified work culture.
2. Technical: This round was based on pure technical insights, all sorts of questions from .net, winforms, asp.net, wcf, iis management were asked. They asked question from database, gave some query to write, queried on knowledge about different development tools. I would say that this company uses all the latest technologies and thus they seek candidates who have worked on those or are capabale enough to get hold of those technologies.
3.Final Round: This round was more technical and less managerial. The interviewer presented with a case study scenario and asked to comment how would you approach in building up this requirement. He expected me to solve the whole problem by suggesting database structure, UI design, business logic, communication with server. It was a very refreshing discussion, apart from this he asked some general question about utilizing free time etc.
