      Anonymous Interview

      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 7 weeks. I interviewed at Duke Health (Lake Norman of Catawba, NC) in Mar 2026

      Interview

I was really excited about the opportunity to interview with Duke Health. This was probably one of the easiest interviews I’ve ever had, but it was a little atypical. The hiring manager talked about the hospital, recent changes, the department, possible future changes, and some aspects of the open position. I think he asked me two questions. One about my certification and one about my availability. I hung up from the interview confused. He didn’t seem to know the specifics about the position he was interviewing for. He said he “should” know more the following week. I got the feeling like this perhaps wasn’t a definitive opening. Still, I stated that I was very interested in the position and would like to come and tour the department once a clearer idea of the position was found. Things seemed to end on a positive note. I had hopes of hearing from him the following week, but no such contact was made. Nearly three weeks after the interview, I received the rejection email. I reached out and kindly requested any feedback or constructive criticism that may help me in the future, but neither the recruiter nor the hiring manager bothered to respond at all.
