I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dog-E-Den (Sherman Oaks, CA) in Nov 2024
Interview
I spoke to the manager over the phone, then I met them in person. I spent about 30 minutes in the room with the dogs shadowing another employee. The job I was interviewing for was seasonal dog caregiver. There is one are for large dogs and 1 area for small dogs. They seemed to be anticipating a large influx of dogs around the holidays. I think I performed well with the dogs (I've worked with them before, I wasn't scared of them or letting them escape) but I never heard back. Maybe they didn't have as many holiday clients as expected.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The only asked about availability and did a 15-30 minute "shadowing" type of experience. They didn't ask any specific dog-care questions.
