I originally applied to Diligent because the job description sounded like a great opportunity. But what caught me off guard was how disorganized and unprofessional the talent acquisition contact was during my interview process. During the first call, standard introductions took place. I was then asked to complete "assessments" in order to be considered for the next stage. I obliged and completed the same day. Then all of a sudden, dead silence.
I had to follow-up 3 three times by letting the contact know I completed the assessment, and that I was awaiting potential next steps. Each time the talent person made up excuses for not being able to provide even a simple update. To this day, I still haven't heard back so I eventually gave up trying to work with them and continued my discussions with other companies.
Seems like the people at Diligent just want to pass judgment on you without any expectation of moving candidates forward through the hiring process. My best advice is to avoid doing any free labor or "assessments" without setting clear expectations for the reason behind their request.
