I was invited to complete and present a large business case as the first interview step. The case was extensive and required around 15–20 hours of work. I even took time off from my current job to ensure a thorough presentation.
The CEO I met with was friendly, and our discussion was interesting, though it felt at times like he was multitasking during my presentation. After the meeting, I got the impression that the fit might not be perfect, but I still expected a follow-up since I was told I would hear back within a week.
Unfortunately, a month has now passed without any response. Despite reaching out to both the HR contact and the CEO to request feedback, I haven’t received any reply. I would have appreciated at least an automated message confirming that they had moved forward with other candidates, especially after the significant time investment required for the case.
