I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Destination Athlete (Lebanon, NJ) in Jan 2020
Interview
Short and easy, not many questions but an open floor to discuss your past experience. Very light and easy going. Take the time to discuss what you are looking for and be open about you goals and future.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me what you did in your internship, what were you responsible for?
Destination Athlete uses Indeed's automated testing services before you even get a chance to speak to someone. Because they are too lazy to interact with candidates personally . . .
After I applied and got the invite, I contacted Destination Athlete directly.
My message:
Hello- I applied for the Social Media Specialist position on Indeed. Now I'm asked to complete a "test." I withdraw my interest in the job. Go to my LinkedIn profile. A test is insulting. Shameful.
Destination Athlete's email back:
Thanks for your feedback on our application process. The assessment is a feature that is offered by Indeed.com. Many companies find it as a good first step in weeding out the ‘false’ applicants or those who simply don’t understand what the job entail. We respect your decision to retract your submission and we have pulled it from the pool of applicants.
My response:
You're using the feature because you're lazy.
I will be writing about this on Glassdoor (about your company).
