I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Deloitte in Mar 2012
Interview
I was contacted by the S&O recruiter after the initial employee referral. The recruiter was more than 10 minutes late to the call; I answered for them a few generic questions about my background, why I want to work for them... this was not a conversation at all, the recruiter was not very engaged. They did provide some info about their practice, and explained that for entry level consultant positions, they focus on "full time" MBA May graduates; Also learned that to be considered an "Expereinced Hire" for the S&O group one has to have experience with another consulting company...it is not enough to have industry experience. They encouraged me to apply for specific open positions, or talk to recruiters on campus about applying later, during their big MBA recruiting events, and when I am closer to graduation. I did not get a sense that they are very interested in part time MBAs.
Really long process; after a verbal offer, I got ghosted and now the offer is rescinded because my expected salary is higher than that of another candidate:) Very disappointing and discouring experience
The three-stage process included a case study and involved meeting several team members. Overall, it was a positive experience although the recruiter took a while to inform me about the offer.
The interview process was long and slow. Took a lot of time to connect, but was worth the effort. The interviews were good and informative, but the turn around time was high, had to wait for good 2 months to hear back
