1. Application Review
The initial screening of your application by the recruitment team or an automated system. This process involves assessing your resume, to determine if your experience and qualifications align with the job requirements.
2. Shortlist
If your application passes the initial review, you are placed on the shortlist of candidates who may proceed to the next stage. At this point, the hiring team selects the most suitable applicants for further evaluation.
3. Prescreen
A recruiter or HR representative conducts a brief video interview to verify your basic qualifications and gauge your interest in the role. You may be asked about your current situation, salary expectations, and availability, along with a few general questions about your experience.
4. Take Home Test
You may be given a practical assessment or take-home assignment to test your skills relevant to the role. This could involve problem-solving exercises, case studies, or technical tasks. The aim is to evaluate how you apply your knowledge in real-world scenarios.
5. Full Loop
This stage consists in-depth interviews with hiring manager. The interviews may cover technical, behavioral, and situational questions, allowing the team to assess your fit for both the role and the company culture.
6. Final Interview
A concluding interview with senior leadership or key decision-makers, where you may be evaluated on strategic thinking, leadership potential, and overall alignment with the company's vision. This round is often focused on high-level decision-making and cultural fit.
7. Debrief
After all interview rounds are completed, the interviewers meet to discuss and consolidate feedback on your performance. This internal discussion helps the hiring team decide whether to move forward with an offer or continue interviewing other candidates.
8. Reference Check
The company contacts your provided references, typically previous managers or colleagues, to validate your past work experience, performance, and behavior in the workplace. This helps confirm the accuracy of the information you've provided and assess your potential fit.
9. Offer
If all previous stages are successful, the company extends a formal job offer.
