      Software Engineer Interview

      29 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Zurich
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at DeepJudge (Zurich)

      Interview

Application through their website. Then they got back with a home assignment in Python to implement some concepts that are encountered in LLMs output generation, one can use help from ai tools, to submit within 5 days. After that there was a phone call with "Head of Engineering" that graduated a few years ago from uni, the conversation was general, no specifics, impression in direction "we look for someone who will do everything", questions about development organization, processes couldn't be answered, because they are startup, so one should expect that devs can't organize themselves even after several years, which is logical if they all finished school and didn't see a day of development in any other company, all other questions were also deflected in some way with no clarity. So after this interview, the next steps one can expect: 2 rounds of interview for system/code design and 1 final interview to meet the team, after that an offer will be made. And the salary range for this high pressure one man do it all job is 100-120k in Zurich for senior developers.
