Interview
1. Intro call
I think I met the best, kindest, most amazing recruiter among all recruiters I have ever met. His name is Allan Bravo. Allan was very kind, prompt and very friendly. We kicked off our conversations like as though we had met before. I loved chatting with him on a daily basis.
2. Take home task
I was asked to come up with manual test cases for one of the flows within the company website. I also demonstrated the approach to testing a feature.
3. Technical interview (online coding challenge)
I had a live online coding session based on javascript automation. The scenario was handed within the call. I had a chat with 2 amazing engineers, Aleksei and Sergey. They were helpful in the interview, It was more of an interaction than an interview, I wrote code which did not run, but they guided me on where I was going wrong and this was very helpful. I appreciate and thank them both.
4. Hiring manager interview
I later met with an engineering manager and QA engineer, Cornelius aka capi 😂 and Rabia. They asked both technical question and general questions. Gave me a picture on what to expect when I join deel. I loved chatting with them because they were very helpful. I really loved chatting with them.
5. CTO interview
Yaron was great. Friendly too like the rest of the deel teammates. We were able to chat and finalise with everything logistical.

As many of the previous reviews stated, the first interview was standard screening, the second is a take-home assignment where they basically ask you to do free work for them, and you get a rejection email shortly after. They do not even pay for the hours spent on this assessment, even though it is clear that they expect you to deal with a problem that the company is currently experiencing, depending on the position for which you are applying. It has also come to my attention that this company fakes Glassdoor reviews in order to sweep those that expose them under the rug. That is a very shady company.

They asked me for suggestions to update acceptance criteria of an internal system they use to manage their human resources, along with test cases and requirements for their own internal platform.
I am sorry to hear that your experience was negative. We take all feedback seriously and use this information to improve our hiring process. The take home tests are solely used to evaluate a candidate's ability to perform in a situation very similar to what they will experience as a Deel team member in the role.

Interview
I think the interview I had with Deel was the best interview I've ever had, despite it was a long process, in each of the instances the interviewer made me feel confortable and confident like if we had known each other for a while.
