Online application including a series of questions on scenarios that might occur in store. Answers were multiple choice. I received a text the following day asking me to call HR. Short telephone interview and arranged a further interview in store. I should have received a confirmation email but I didn’t and had to phone them back. I found out later that this had happened to other candidates too. The email would have made it clear that the interview was a store event for about 12 people. I attended and we had to introduce ourselves to the others and give an interesting fact about ourself. We also had to write a few words on a post it note about how we could make the customer’s visit to the store enjoyable. Then taken to shopfloor and encouraged to walk about and engage with customers. Then brief one to one interview about ourself and days/hours available, plus a couple of customer service questions. Should have had another email saying I’d been put in a talent pool but didn’t receive it. Eventually, about 3 weeks later, was told I’d performed well in interview but no job. However they’re keeping my details and said phone if I see another post I’m interested in within next 3 months.
