Question 1
How does your prior experience relate to your how you will approach this new role?
I interviewed with Datapeople for an AE role recently. The process took about a month from the first interview to the job offer, with 4 total interviews. From the onset, the HR team did a great job setting expectations about the process (which is also nicely laid out on their careers page) and quickly communicating throughout the process. The first two interviews after my HR screen with sales leadership were professional and consisted of questions on sales background/process. The RevOps leader did a great job of showcasing his passion for what the team was building, and it was clear they support their sales team by compensating them fairly for bringing in business. This was compelling from a sales perspective to hear an employer would reward strong sales performance with a clear comp plan. The final interview was a presentation to the leadership team. The team was very engaged during the presentation, which I was grateful for, given the time it took to complete the assignment. Following the presentation, the team immediately sent a gift card for taking the time to complete the assignment. It was refreshing to interview with a company that values the time you took to prepare a presentation for them after having interviewed for numerous other sales roles with little engagement/no compensation. Although I did not end up joining the team, I cannot say enough positive things about the Datapople team and the interview process. They certainly embodied the company's mission of improving the recruiting process for candidates. Everyone I met during the process was extremely personable and offered to be a resource if I had any questions. The HR team was exceptional to work with and quickly provided feedback during each stage of the process. I highly recommend applying for a role at Datapeople if you are passionate about making a difference and joining a mission-driven company.

Question 1
Why would you be a good fit to work in a startup environment at Mission-Driven Company like Datapeople?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Datapeople in Mar 2023
Interview
I had a phone screen with People Ops, then a 1x1 interview with the Hiring Manager (VP of Sales), a 1x1 with the VP of Finance, and a final project with about 5 people from Sales, CS, and Finance. Everyone was incredibly warm & excited to meet me, and it was immediately apparent how much everyone enjoys working at DataPeople. I was also paid for my final project, which is a very respectful touch that most companies leave out. It told me they know that my time is valuable, that they appreciate my work, and that they are discerning about who they invite to the final round.
