30 minute call with non technical questions.
The interviewer's headset was giving him problems so we did a video call which I was not prepared for.
Nevertheless, I decided to take the video call. The questions were easy, more about my experience and what decisions or solutions, which I implemented, made a difference for the company.
At the end of the call I was asked if the opportunity was something that I wanted to further pursue and I answered, "yes".
We ended the call with our salutations and I quickly replied back to the recruiter on LinkedIn, letting her know that the call was finished. I had heard that interviewees were being "Ghosted" by Datadog, and not being given even a reply back when they made an inquiry. This is exactly what happened to me.
The most unprofessional thing a company can do is ignore a candidate who expressed an interest, taking time out of their day to explore an opportunity that they (the recruiter), presented .
If their recruiting practices are like this, imagine what working for the company will be like.
