Fashion and Cosmetics - Marketing, Advertising and Sales Interview

      14 Feb 2013
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Dallas, TX
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Dallas Roadshows (Dallas, TX) in Feb 2013

      Interview

I submitted my application online and was contacted by an HR representative two days later. She asked to setup a phone interview with one of the managers and I was scheduled for the next afternoon. The manager called on time and asked a few questions about my resume then basically read off a script of the company's projects and clients. I felt like I was being given a sales pitch and I didn't have the opportunity to ask any questions of my own. I set up an interview the next week but had a family emergency come up so I was not able to attend. I called HR twice, leaving two messages, and then emailed them about rescheduling. No one got back to me. My friend also set up a phone interview a few days before mine but they never called.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

None, I wasn't really asked about my experience of anything. Basic resume questions and the whole process took 7 minutes. She said only 8% moved on to the next round of interviews but I felt like they didn't have enough information about me to determine that.
