I applied online. I interviewed at Dailymotion (New York, NY) in Feb 2021
Interview
I applied for the position through LinkedIn. Nine days later, I was contacted by their HR team Coordinator. We had a great connection over the phone.
A week after that, I was invited to meet the CS Director over a video call in which he offered me to complete a Technical Test. After another week, I had a video interview with the CS Director and a Project Manager to discuss the test together. It was a relaxed conversation in which I got great feedback. They told me that as test results were very good, they wanted me to meet the Content management team to understand a bit more Dailymotion's business model and answer some of their questions about my background and motivation to join the company. After that last interview, they let me know everybody wanted me on the team, and we started to discuss the contract.
Dailymotion's HR Director led the last part of the hiring process, in which we discussed and negotiated different aspects of the work contract. She was warm, responsive, and always available to answer all my questions and concerns. I declined the position for personal reasons.
The general feeling of this experience was very positive, human, and organic. I felt welcomed by everybody from the beginning, but I need to mention Susan Tan here (I hope this complies with the guidelines).
Thanks, Susan, for taking care of every step of the hiring process from the beginning until the end. You are such a kind, caring, and empathetic human being.
I will recommend joining Dailymotion to anyone interested as the company culture I could breathe from this process is outstanding.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The video interviews were based on my experience and motivation to join Dailymotion and for answering how I would react to specific situations that would normally appear at the position I applied for.
At the technical test, I had to answer five scenarios of increased difficulty and explain the mental workflow behind each answer, as well as giving my personal feedback.
