I applied through an employee referral. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at Daft Media (Dublin, Dublin) in Sept 2017
Interview
Three rounds of interview: first a Skype call of about half an hour with a developer (?) about my experience, what do I expect, what I don't like and what would be my attitude towards legacy code.
Then a 7 days test, it required to build a couple of web pages from scratch with a search feature using a given API.
Fun but quite a commitment, seven days is quite a tight deadline if working.
I said I was off for the week bus still I've been sent the test on a Friday so I had less time than expected to complete it, which I found not very fair to start with.
I still made it to the final interview: 90 minutes (not one less!) of questions of all kind, mostly soft skills. One hour with the team leader and HR then 30 minutes to go through the test and the technical decisions I made.
We went through my CV, my experience and education.
I have ten years experience in web development, I feel like going through my education and my very first jobs was not relevant and I found some questions and statements quite inappropriate.
For example, I've attended 3 years of university but I didn't get a degree. I've been asked why and if I plan to continue. There might be personal motifs behind something like that, that's a very uneasy question.
After this I've been told it seems like my experience is DIY which I found pretty offensive.
I learnt while working as many other people and at university they don't teach PHP!
Then there wasn't really any salary negotiation. I've been asked how much I ask for, the HR lady wrote down the figure with a grunt and that's it, not that I asked for a mad amount of money, just my current salary.
The whole process lasted one month and a half.
It took two weeks for them to contact me from when I got in touch, then another week to send the test, then two weeks for the evaluation and one week to get the final feedback which was simply saying that I don't match their skillset.
To be honest, after such a long time spent, I would have expected a better and more detailed feedback so I'm actually very disappointed.
The interview was enjoyable and friendly but definitely too long and not well structured.

Interview
The interview process was fine. It was basically sitting down with my CV and asking questions from the start of my career history to present. There was no real difficulty in the interview. It was repeated twice, once my a manager and once by the HR manager

Interview
Smooth process. First round phone screen, second round technical test, third round face to face with Senior Devs and HR. In face to face I was required to pick out errors in code on paper.
