I was interviewed twice by the HR department of this company — once in June 2025 and again in September 2025 — for the same position. Both times, the interviews were conducted by different HR professionals, followed by an interaction with the company’s VP.
The VP came across as a humble and approachable person, giving me enough space to express my thoughts during the discussion. However, I felt the HR team lacked clarity about the kind of candidate they were actually looking for. Both times, I was given rather vague reasons for not being shortlisted further.
In my opinion, the HR department should be more aligned with the company’s actual hiring needs. HR professionals need to assess profiles more effectively during the first interaction itself — whether it’s to proceed with a virtual or face-to-face round — to save time for both sides.
