The recruiter was totally unprepared as it was clear she had not read my resume. When I talked about my work history she acted surprised and annoyed by my previous job titles. Because of this, I decided to switch gears and talk about books I’ve been reading to stay up to date on industry trends. She said “we are not here to talk about books we are here to talk about your experience”. I’ve had many interviews throughout my career and this was by far the worst.
