I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Corning (Corning, NY) in Apr 2026
Interview
I applied through their website, interviewed by a recruiter first followed by the interview with the hiring manager. The hiring manager showed eagerness in my candidacy and asked a lot of logistic questions too. I was invited onsite for a talk followed by an interview. It all went well, I was further interviewed by another panel and finally by the director of technology from Germany. All of them said that they wanna make a decision by tne end of next week! It's been 2 months and I am ghosted, complete radio silence and once in a while the recruiter keeps telling me that they will make a decision next week, this has been going on for weeks and weeks. I lost trust in the process because of the conflicting information. I am in fact surprised because Corning is such a great and reputed company but the process doesn't represent that.

Interview
Professional but slow as expected with large organization. Met with HR on teams, then virtual with hiring manager, final onsite. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and easy to talk with. They were all open to discuss all aspects of the role.
