I applied on indeed. In a week they offered me a phone interview and after that they scheduled an interview with their intern manager in 2 weeks. After they said they wanted me to meet with the president of the company. I went to the interview and they said the president was on a conference call and he would be with me shortly. Their office was filthy, dirty papers over the desk, dust on all the appliances, and black smudges on the walls. They made me wait for over an hour. I met with other employees who literally glared at me and were not friendly at all. They take me to the boss’s office and he still wasn’t ready. His “conference call” consisted of him screaming and cursing at another employee. I stood in the hall and waited another 10 minutes before another employee told me to wait at a desk. I waited at that desk another 20 minutes and then they brought me to his office. He gave me a half hearted apology and asked me to tell me about myself, I said two words and he asked me another question which interrupted me. He kept interrupting me at all my questions. Then he asked me what my major was and I said it was Psychology. He asked how many HR Classes have I taken and I said 3. He goes what are they I told him and he says is that it? I said yes. He seemed extremely rude interrupting me and being really dismissive about my major. He went on to tell me how I shouldn’t expect any compensation for the internship but I will be getting valuable experience. He asked me are you doing this for school credit and I said yes. He says how does the internship class work. I say I apply for the internship and if I am offered a position I email your company the internship paperwork to fill out. He says no you give me the paperwork first and if we like it then we will offer you the position. I told him ok. I am walking down the hall and he is yelling at his “assistant” saying don’t hire people that aren’t majoring in business. At that point I knew that this place was not the place for me and I just got up and left. This place says it’s a professional corporate internship but it’s just a hole in the wall business. The employees are rude, the “President” of their company is rude and the offices are dirty. In their indeed advertisements they say they are Xerox corporate but it’s just a company that’s licensed to sell xerox printers. There are only a couple real sales people and the rest are unpaid interns. Only apply here if you are desperate.
